Free trial
New customers can try MxGuard free for 30 days. No credit card, full feature access, up to five domains. Here's how the signup flow works end-to-end.
Step 1 — apply at mxguard.uk
Visit mxguard.uk/pricing and click Start free trial. Fill the form: name, company, email, phone, postal address, country. There's no domain field at this stage — you'll add the domain you want to protect later from your dashboard.
Why the address fields? The application runs through a fraud-check before MxGuard accepts it. IP geo, phone shape, address shape, and country are all sanity-checked. Cleanly-completed applications go through automatically; obviously-fake ones (placeholder addresses, disposable email domains, fake phone digits) are rejected before a verification email is even sent.
Step 2 — verify your email
MxGuard sends a verification email to the address you supplied. Click the link in it to confirm ownership. The link is valid for 24 hours. If you don't click it, no account is created — applications expire automatically.
Already signed up before? If the email address is already in MxGuard, the form rejects the application — sign in to your existing account instead, or use the password-reset link.
Step 3 — set a password
The verification link takes you to a "Set your password" page. Choose a password (minimum 10 characters), confirm it, and submit. This logs you in immediately and starts your 30-day trial clock.
Step 4 — the welcome page
After password setup you land on /trial/welcome — a
four-step onboarding card:
- Account created (already done — green tick)
- Add the domain you want to protect (current step, with CTA button)
- Verify ownership via a TXT record
- Point your MX record at MxGuard
Click Add my domain to start the domain-add flow. This is the same as steps 2 to 4 in the quick-start guide.
During the trial
- Status:
trialwith an amber pill on the admin customer list - Days remaining shown alongside the status (e.g. 27d left)
- Every feature works exactly as it would on a paid plan
- Up to five protected domains
- Unlimited mailboxes per domain
When the trial ends
After 30 days, the account status flips to trial_expired.
Mail filtering stops, but quarantined messages remain accessible for
another 30 days before deletion. You can convert to a paid plan at
any point during or after the trial.
